Balistan iron ore mine is located in West Azarbaijan province, south of Urmia city. The distance between the mine and Urmia city is 64 km, and its access is through the Urmia-Mahabad road. This mine was purchased in February 2019 by the Pars Structure Industrial Group and at the same time as the start of activity, the development and operation of the crushing, granulation and magnetic separation line was started next to the mine and it was put into operation in the shortest possible time. The production capacity of this line is currently close to 120,000 tons of magnetite iron ore with an average grade of 50% iron with FeO above 19. This mine has created good employment for the region and the local natives, and with the development of discoveries and increasing the mine reserve that is being done; Along with the development of the crushing line, the construction of the iron ore concentration unit is the priority of the company's future plans. It is hoped that by completing the exploratory studies of these areas and obtaining the necessary permits from the relevant bodies, while completing the discoveries and exploiting them, this complex can play an effective role in the prosperity of the mining and mineral industries in the country.
